Cornish Broiler

Cornish Broiler

The Cornish Broiler (also known as the Cornish Cross or Cornish X) is the industry standard for fast-growing, efficient meat birds. These broilers are bred specifically for exceptional size, rapid growth, and outstanding feed conversion, making them the top choice for homesteaders, small farms, and anyone raising their own meat birds.

Cornish Broilers reach harvest weight incredibly quickly—often 6–8 weeks, depending on feeding and management. Their broad breasts, thick legs, and heavy muscling produce the classic, full-bodied table bird prized for its tenderness and flavor. Despite their rapid growth, Cornish Broilers are generally calm and easy to manage when provided with proper feed, space, and ventilation.

Because of their fast growth, this breed requires a high-protein diet, careful monitoring, and proper rest periods to maintain healthy development. Whether you're a first-time grower or an experienced poultry keeper, Cornish Broilers offer an efficient, rewarding way to raise your own high-quality poultry meat.

  • PICKUP POLICY

Chick orders at our Stansbury location are available for pickup on Saturdays. While we make every effort to fulfill your preferred pickup date, please note that we cannot guarantee your order will be ready on that specific day. Once your pickup date is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation.

The Friday before your scheduled pickup, we will send a second confirmation email that includes your final order details, verification that your chicks hatched as expected, and any additional pickup instructions.

All orders must be picked up on the Saturday they are scheduled. Orders not picked up on their scheduled date are considered abandoned and will not be rescheduled or refunded.

If your order includes a shortage (a breed that did not hatch as expected), the remaining chicks on your order must still be picked up as scheduled. For any chicks unavailable due to a hatch shortage, you may choose one of the following options at pickup:

    • Replace the shortage with chicks currently in stock, or

    • Move the unavailable chicks to a future pickup date.

There is no guarantee of mortality or morbidity once the poultry leaves our store. Please carefully check your chicks before you leave.
