Mille Fleur d'Uccle
The Mille Fleur d’Uccle is a charming and beautifully ornate bantam breed known for its striking feather pattern, feathered legs, and sweet personality. Originating from Belgium, this breed is adored for its “Mille Fleur” coloring—rich mahogany feathers tipped with black and finished with a delicate white “flower petal” spot, creating a truly eye-catching mosaic of color.
Mille Fleur d’Uccles are small in size but big in personality. They are incredibly friendly, gentle, and affectionate, making them wonderful pets for families and children. These birds love attention, often hopping onto laps or perches to interact with their keepers. Their feathered legs and beards add even more charm to their already adorable appearance.
Hens lay small cream-colored eggs and typically produce 100–150 eggs per year. While not known for high production, they make excellent broodies and devoted mothers. Mille Fleur d’Uccles tolerate confinement well, though they also enjoy exploring their surroundings in a safe, predator-protected area.
